Taylor's perspective
I gave her a glare and pondered how I had come to be associated with such a stubborn person. She's here disturbing every kind of quiet I needed, and I didn't need any kind of disruption because I was in a bad mood.
I sighed and sank back into my seat, letting her have her way since I knew that arguing with her would not solve anything.
Simply obtain her statement, and she will be permanently removed from your life.
It was unbelievable to me that only a few moments before, I was admiring her curve and remembering the chill that ran down my spine as she shook my hand.
She was undoubtedly dangerous; only my wife Kay could have made him feel this way in the good times, but after things went south, I vowed to stay away from girls who could make me feel that way. Love and trust were not in my plans, and maybe they never will be until I turn to dust.
Tina is aware that, despite our relationship, I wasn't in love with her. She's a good company and knows her place; unlike other girls I've dated, who obviously wanted me wrapped around their finger, she didn't ask for anything, so I just liked hanging out with her.
I detested girls who had unreasonable expectations. I detest greedy girls and try to stay away from them at all costs. The main reason Tina should date me is that she is fantastic in bed. I avoid nice girls who seek love instead of lust.
Despite my harsh and grumpy demeanor, I had to admit that the stubborn ass kept humming in an unknown tone, and her pleasant voice helped calm my nerves.
"We're here," my driver declared as she quickly glanced outside to make sure she was in fact in front of Royal Haven.
If only she knew I own the hotel, she would be screaming and shocked by now, I thought to myself as I laughed.
She got out and walked quickly into the hotel. I chuckled to myself, assuming she was eager to meet her adorable boyfriend.
Who cares, really? If she just says this, I'll be out of here before any of my employees even know who I am.
Even though I don't often visit this store, I doubt they recognize me, but you never know. Perhaps some of the female employees looked me up online, secretly hoping for a happily ever after with me.
I bowed slightly as I walked into the hotel, glancing occasionally at the doorman who ushered me in and said "hi."
I observed a prickly ass asking questions about her guy at the welcome desk. She eventually turned to face me, looking sad, but my phone decided to ring at that exact moment.
Examining the caller ID, I discovered it was the same sour old man. I replied, "What now?" in a firm tone.
"You're running late," he said, and I snapped, "I've got some stuff to take care of."
"Then hurry up, I want to meet Tina but I don't have all the time in the world"
"All right," I heaved and hung up, irritated. I tried to picture his reaction when he realized I had arrived by myself. He'll just have to put up with me because I did everything I could to help.
Ignorant ass slammed into my chest, turning around. She suddenly jerked away, as if I were poison ivy, and looked up.
"I apologize," she said, but as soon as she said, "I didn't expect you to turn that moment," I could smell her nervousness.
I gave her a long, hard look, but I couldn't quite figure her out. Was she anxious about not seeing her boyfriend, or was she anxious about her body slamming into mine? I was unable to understand "Where's your Honey Pie? fled with a different woman?" I only intended to tease her a little; I didn't mean to offend her, but the look she gave me was lethal.
"Refrain from using your poisonous language," she growled and averted her gaze.
Well done, Taylor. "I'm sorry" slipped out of my mouth before I could stop it, and now she's furious. She just scoffed and looked away again, shooting me a sidelong glance over her shoulder.
I apologized at least, but she was staring in the opposite direction—exactly at a couple making out in a quiet hallway corner—so I said, "Maybe you should give me your statement so I can leave and you can wait for your sweetheart."
I looked at the couple, wondering why she seemed so interested in them, but when I saw her lips quiver, I changed my mind. That's when I realized something was really wrong.
She started to stutter toward the couple before I could stop her. They didn't notice her until she called a name and the man turned, even though she was standing in front of them.
The man flinched, his eyes nearly protruding from its holes. Then he gave him a firm slap on the cheek, and I instantly understood everything.
How shocking that she just discovered her sugar pie spying on her.
When she threatened to give him another slap, the guy glared at her and grabbed her hand. "Don't you dare," he growled, slapping her hand away. "How could you?" "I should've broken up with you months ago, but I just took pity on your pathetic self because you depended on me so much," she asked, choking on her words and blinking her eyes as she tried to hold back the tears that threatened to spill. Ouch! the i***t admitted. "What?" was exactly right on my guess.
"Ariana, you're not even as attractive and seductive as your sister. You simply lack form and are nothing at all. You're struggling to make a name for yourself in the entertainment industry and don't even have a stable job. You also don't dress well because you don't have enough money. Who among the sensible guys would be interested in you?"
I clenched my hands into fists, wondering how that rag of a creature could possibly be breathing on Earth. I attempted to intervene, but a mob was gathering. I stayed put, knowing that trying to step in would be problematic.
It was obvious that if I ever got involved, I would make that guy fear God and have the media following me, with stories and gossip pages appearing the following day.
Thus, I will handle him covertly so that no one, not even the heartbroken girl, will know.
I saw a recalcitrant woman leave the scene while holding her hands to her mouth. Who cares? She was probably crying, which is something I don't like to see. The young lady is hurting.
I left the hotel before she could and assisted her in getting into the car.
Without a specific destination in mind, I gave my driver the command to "drive". She was sitting there stifling her sobs with a trembling hand over her mouth as her shoulder trembled violently. "You should stop crying," I told her, and she raised her red, bleary eyes to me, asking, "How could you be so heartless?"
"Alright then cry and tell me what it solved," I said, scowling at her before she looked away.
"You ought to be courageous and give him back his own money. Make him wish he had never left you."I gave her encouragement in the hopes that she would brighten a little, but it didn't work. "How?!" "I'm nothing, I don't have anything, I'm broke, I'm not pretty, and I don't even have a stable job," she yelled, flinging her hands in frustration. Tell me how, please." She gave birth. She looked at me like I was crazy when I smiled.
"Then stick by me and I'll make all your dreams come true"
She gave me a sharp look as she tried to process what I had just said. When the thought "For the start, I'll pay you a hundred thousand dollars if you'll agree to be my date for tonight" suddenly entered my mind, I assumed she was reading my jokes.
With a start, I asked, "A hundred thousand dollars just to be your date for a night?" as I watched her eyes pop open next to her mouth. She asked in disbelief. "Yes," I replied, "more specifically, a fictitious date." I corrected, fully aware that it would be impossible to refuse the offer.
