After her father was murdered at his workplace, Nicole is determined to bring her father's killer to book. In a bid to escape her past, Nicole's mother, Ms. Helena leaves her home in the countryside along with her daughter for the city. Her mother is vehemently against her quest to find justice for the death of her father. Nicole believes that this is because her mother is weak and has some skeletons in her cupboard. Thus, her relationship with her mother is strained. At their home in the countryside, Nicole's best friend, Daniel is also confronted with his own fair share of challenges. He lives with his father who was a worker at the factory where Nicole father used to work. Unfortunately, Mr. Theodore, Daniel's father goes missing for days and returns with a burden. He got diagnosed with a kind of Post - Traumatic Stress Disorder. In order to keep up the expenses for his treatment and therapy session, Daniel had to move along with him to the city to live with his Aunt. In the city, Nicole gets a job to fend for herself and her mother. She also wants to attend the best university in town so, she had to work overtime in other to earn more. Fortunately, she was able to enrol to study criminology in the university. Her choice of course was inspired by her quest for justice. On the other hand, Daniel gets lucky as "Eric's foundation " grants him a fully sponsored scholarship to study Forensic science in the same university as Nicole. Fate our chance however makes their paths cross again and keeps them together.Nicole and Daniel's relationship blooms as they began to face all odds together.
