I was about to lose control of Skull because our mate had been in so much pain! It felt like it had been hours and so far she had not dilated any further than 4cm. The pups are very difficult, almost like something is keeping them from being born. I placed ich chips in Paulette's mouth as a nurse dabbed her forehead with a damp cloth to wipe away the sweat. My poor mate looked exhausted, but I knew that I had to keep her grounded. I leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Baby, please get some rest while you can. You will need to reserve your strength for when the time comes to push, okay?" I spoke calmly to her, even though I was a tornado of emotions inside.
