I watched as an evil smile spread across his face. It sent a shiver down my spine, and not the pleasurable kind. I actually felt afraid of him. It made no sense to me, he was supposed to love me, wanted to be near me, attracted to me. Being my mate, the bond was supposed to draw him to me. "Shy are y-you sm-smiling like th-that?"
He began to chuckle, lowly. He terrified me to my core. He looked me dead in my eyes before speaking. "I see something...interesting."
I gulped in fear. "Wh-what?"
He licked his lips as his eyes raked all over my body. "I see something that makes me ravenous!"
