I have been looking over my shoulder ever since the day I found my mate. It killed me and Loki to have to send her back into danger. I knew that our boss was not handling having to wait days to find ANYTHING about his so-called beloved. I was seriously reconsidering Zandra's offer. The need to be near her was getting harder and more painful with each passing day! Loki would have moments where he most took control by force! I knew that it was the bond that was established when she accepted us as her mates, but we never completed the mate bond because we knew that it would be too dangerous at the moment. We both decided that once we were free from Donovan and Vex that we would leave, far from here, to mark each other and complete the mating ceremony.
