"Babe, I am sorry that I made you feel that I didn't trust you. I have been thrown for a loop by Donovan showing up." I wrapped my arms around his waist and laid my head on his chest. "I am so scared! He truly is a monster and now I have more to lose than I did when I was young!"
I felt him wrap his arms around my shoulders. He began to pet my hair before he spoke. "Will you tell me about the nightmare?"
I began to tremble. "Can I tell you tonight...when we are alone?" I held my breath, waiting for his answer. "Please?" I begged.
I felt him sigh and kiss the top of my head. "Okay, we can talk about it later, I can feel your fear. Skull is whimpering in my head. Could I let him take partial control so that he can hold you? He needs this to calm him down."
