My poor friend has already been through far too much! I knew that we would be best friends when I first met her. We just clicked. I felt a deep connection with her, and now I understand why. She was a lot like me in her traumatic past. When my mate walked in with my brother, his mate, Paulette’s parents, and Zandra and Thaddeus, I knew that what they were about to say was not going to be good.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard noises behind me. I turned around to see that Paulette was awake. Her eyes kept coming in and out of focus. That only happened when one communicated with their wolf. I was not aware that she had finally got Star. I was so happy for her. I walked over to her and placed my hand on hers. “Congratulations P, Star is a wonderful wolf.”
