THE SECRET GARDEN

Chapter 1 Nobody seemed to care about Maria. she was born in Indonesia,where her father is a British man. he was always busy with work and her mother who was beautiful, spent her all her time going out. so sonalita was paid to look after Maria .she was always given orders to follow. Maria never thought of other people but herself .infact She was a stubborn and selfish little girl. One morning when maria woke up and saw that there's another women besides her bed and it was not sonalita she screamed with anger .and said "what are you doing here"?she asked with anger then the lady answered scared and said " I'm sorry miss maria but I was sent by sonalita to look after you while she went out a little bit" A lot of things were happening that day .People didn't come to work and so as sonalita. so maria went out to play in the garden. she picked out a large red flower to plant on the ground..she wanted to plant her own flowers .all the time she was whispering into herself that she hate sonalita for not coming. while she was playing she saw her mother coming into the garden with a young man .they did not see maria ,who was listening to their conversation. The mother asked the man that it's very bad that people are dying like flies because of diseases The man said that he thinks that Maria's mom should go live in the hills to be more safe.suddenly they heard loud cries coming from the workers room Maria's mom shouted what's happened. The man said i think the one of the servants died the mother said it can't be ,how did the diseases reach into their house. They went to check out maria then understood that the diseases killed sonalita and other people that is why she did not see her she was protecting her from the diseases. later that day four more servants died ,the day went by and the next day nobody thought about maria she hid on her bedroom shocked and scared when she woke up the next day the house was silent and she thought that maybe the diseases is gone . The little girl was hungry then she heard men's voices in the hall talking about her mother's photo frame when the man saw the little girl behind the door they were frightened because nobody saw her. she then said someone make some food for her ,she then introduced herself to the men the man said they forgotten the girl and they explained to her that everyone who was inside the house has died now she is left alone .then maria realized that she is the only one who survived the disease. No one remembered little miss maria .she was all alone and she did not miss her parents because she did not know them very well she was always with sonalita the nanny . she only thought of herself, where will I stay she then was adopted by some people who are too lazy ,she hated them because she knew that they will make her the slave but she didn't have a choice but to stay with them as they were the only people who helped and adopted her besides her attitude. Time went by then maria thought of running away from home at the age of 22 .she was tired of being abused and used as a young slave ,she then decided to run away from home.
