"Come here boy" the child shook his head, his eyes level with the massive man before him, unflinching yet not entirely unafraid. "Come here!" The alpha hardly ever raised his voice, nore did he use his tone lightly, but the boy still did not move. He raised his chin defiantly, "you will not harm her" the small childish voice echoed through the silent forest as if he had shouted it.
"You do not understand the depths of your situation young lad." A kind voice came from beside him and the boy started, he was not one to easily startle and yet the Beta had snuck up on him, taking the opportunity of closeness he grabbed the boy and slammed him to the ground pinning his hands to his chest. "That silver fox has got you in her grip little one, I suggest you let us remedy that." The boy let out a furious scream, jerking his hand free he threw a punch at the Beta which the man easily dodged. "Saul what do you want us to do?" The alpha pinched the bridge if his nose and sighed, "Kill the fox, she is nothing but trouble."
The child screeched, tears threatened to spill over as he tried to wrestle free of the Beta's grip. " no please father! please don't she is innocent!" The alpha was a blur as he plucked the boy from his Beta's hands and slammed him into a tree, there he held him, hands clasped tightly around the boy's neck, allowing only small breaths to escape his trembling lips. "you do not understand what you are protecting, she is a fox for a reason, sly, cunning" he tilted the child's head up to look him in the eyes, "vicious." The Alpha looked as the fox laying unconscious on the ground next to his Beta, his Gamma and Delta both held the ends of the bear trap that she was caught in.
He lifted the child's arm, and gazed at the bite mark, it was dark red almost black around the edges of the punctures. "you don't understand what this is, but you will one day, and you will thank me." He dropped the child, who fell to his knees gasping for air, in an instant the Alpha was replaced with a massive black wolf, and then he was gone, only to re appear next to the silver fox's unconscious body. As the boy screamed to stop him, the wolf ripped her throat out, a gush of sickly sweet blood spattered his face.
He felt anguish, hatred, fear, and pain like nothing had felt before, a scream pierced the night. No birds called, no creatures dared to stir as the air around them changed. It screamed if danger, the aura leaking from the boy was suffocating, and a creeping dread filled the woods as they witnessed the boy become a creature to which the world has only ever seen once before. The wolf that stood before the Alpha was small, it was after all but a boy, but it was feral, it's thick coat was a mixture of silver and black and its brilliant yellow eyes, held a hatred unlike any other. The beasts muzzle was drawn back in a snarl and saliva dropped from it landing in the blood soaked snow. "It seems we were wrong Theo, it's already too late."
The Beta known as Theo shifted slowly into his Iron clad wolf, and let out a fearsome growl, "So it would seem" he mind liked, the Gamma and the Delta shifted as well, smaller then the Alpha and Beta, they were still large in comparison to a normal wolf of their kind. The young wolf before them paced back and forth it's tail thrashing, there seemed to be an internal battle of some sort, the snow storm began to pick up, lightning cracked in the distance and an unease settled over the Alpha Unit, despite all of their training they turned their attention to the sky. "The Goddess is angry." The Gamma's Mind-Link was laced with anxiety.
As sudden as the storm came on, it disappeared, the glowing eyes of the beast before them dulled, and then it was gone, leaving a small child, naked and unconscious before them. The alpha looked in shock at the spot where the fox's body had laid only moments earlier. The unit shifted back and the alpha reached out to touch the blood stained ground before him. "She Is gone."
