Heal me

I woke up today all messed up, that nightmare never failed in hunting me; thunder, rain pouring, a fire, ambulance, police---. and here we go again. My head hurts like hell every time I try to remember this nightmare I've been having for the last 12 years. My doctor said it's a trauma from an accident I had when I was a kid, an accident that my family failed to survive, but not me. I wish I could remember something about them, at least their faces, but everytime I go through the process I get a major headache that I cannot handle. Apart from that, I don't have any pictures of them or any simple information. The least I could do is pray for them to be in a better place. Now enough speaking of the past, let's go back to the present. I'm Ren, an 18-year-old fresh high school graduate. Apart from what happened in the past, everything is normal in my life. Luckily, I got adopted from this kind and happy family. Mr Wang is the owner of a very famous car line here in South Korea. He and Ms Wang are the sweetest couple anyone could ever meet, yet not the luckiest. They have been married for 35 years but without children, which makes me their only child or an adopted child to be more specific. Mr Wang or my dad always tried to get me the idea of attending business college to help him with the company, but this I never wanted. I've always dreamed of being an idol. Singing is my dream and I really want to achieve it. Mom, on the other hand, is always supportive of my dream. She's actually my number one fan. She listens to all the songs I make, and enjoys my guitar playing a lot. ''Ren, sweetie, your coffee is ready'' Speaking of her, let's hop down to have my morning coffee. ''Good morning Mother, where is dad ?'', I asked. ''Company morning meetings, you know how busy he gets during the last months of every year'', she said. ''So true, I wish I could help him, but you already know'', I said, feeling sorry. ''Don't mind it honey, everything will be okay, speaking of that, I heard on the entertainment part of the morning news that Dreame entertainment is scheduling a contest next month, are you in ?'', she asked. ''Of course, Mom, you know how much I've been waiting for this opportunity. I practiced allot for such a moment, wish me luck'' ''you have such an angelic voice I'm sure everyone would be all over you'' she said. ''I'm sure it's gonna be a tough competition, the company has quite a good reputation, all talented teenagers will be doing their best to get a ticket in'' I said, feeling the pressure I'll be under within a month from now. ''well, if you failed, your father would be the happiest person on earth that day'' she said, trying her best not to laugh. ''he won't skip a second to throw me on the next plane going to London with the scholarship papers in my hands'' I said, cracking a smile on my face. ''well, who knows I may end up being the best business woman here in soul or South-Korea'' I said, trying to cheer myself up. ''Or you'll end up being the most famous and successful super star here in South-Korea or the world, you never know honey you never know'' she said while holding both of my hands and giving them a sweet gentle kiss at the end of her phrase.
