“An accident? When? How? But I just saw her a few hours ago. Are you pranking me? Amy, are you serious?” I exclaimed loudly.
“Why would I joke about something like this? You're funny if you think I'm kidding. Where are you?” she replied, her voice slightly louder.
“I'm somewhere nearby. I'll leave right away,” I responded, my voice shaky.
“You better get yourself to the hospital,” she advised before ending the call.
