“I stood there in shock as Ethan quickly approached her. It felt as if I had been the one shot, my whole body frozen in place. I couldn't believe that I might lose her.
'She's been shot,' Derek shouted from where he knelt, trying to lift her up.
'Boss!' he shouted again as he carried her towards the car, snapping me back to reality.
I swiftly opened the back door of the car, and he placed her inside. I joined her, and he drove us to the hospital, rushing.
'Should we take her to the nearest hospital or the family hospital?' he asked, driving at speed.
'The nearest hospital. I can't risk it, not with her,' I replied, taking off my shirt to stop the bleeding.
