Aria's POV
“There's a price on me? Why? Who did this? Still Veronica?” I asked, surprised by what I was seeing right in front of me.
“Yes, Veronica,” he said. “It's getting late, Aria. You need to go and get some sleep,” he added, walking towards the door.
As he tried to close the door, I wanted to ask him if Xavier was aware of everything that was happening, especially if he knew that I had been kidnapped. But I couldn't bring myself to ask him, as I wasn't ready to start another long conversation about true love and moving on from Xavier.
I watched as he left, and I couldn't help but notice how strong and manly he looked. Besides his handsome face, I have a thing for well-built men, and Derek definitely fits that category. No wonder I fell head over heels for him at first sight.
