“We searched the whole area, but she's nowhere to be found,” Ethan said as soon as I picked up the call.
“The same place I sent you to?” I asked, surprised.
“Yeah, she pulled a fast one on you. We need to…" he paused for a moment. “Damn!” he exclaimed.
“What's wrong? Is something not right?” I asked, concerned.
“She was here, I recognized this bead on the floor. It must have fallen off while she was struggling to free herself,” he explained.
“It rained yesterday, but I can still see tire tracks on the ground,” he added.
“So, what are you thinking?” I asked, feeling a bit confused.
“She didn't leave here on her own. Either someone brought her here and took her away later, or she was taken by someone else,” Ethan concluded.
