“Today is her birthday? How did you know? I hope this isn't one of those jokes. I'm really not in the mood for that today,” I said to Ethan loudly through the phone.
“Out of all the things to tease you with, do you think it would be about her?” Ethan replied.
“You haven't answered my question, Ethan. How did you know? She didn't seem like someone whose birthday was today,” I said, reflecting on my previous statement. But then again, she doesn't have to look like it's her birthday. For someone like me, my birthday is just like any normal day.
