Aria’s POV
The journey to the hospital was quite funny. Xavier kept cracking random jokes and playfully touching me, which helped distract me from the whirlwind of thoughts in my mind. Finally, we arrived at the hospital's parking area.
“You can go in first, and I'll join you,” Xavier said, handing me my bag.
“Okay, just don't take too long,” I replied, opening the car door.
I headed straight to my mother's room to check on her before meeting with the doctor. As I opened the door, I greeted her, saying, “Hi, Mom.”
To my surprise, a loud voice came from the corner, exclaiming, “Surprise!” I closed the door in shock.
