It's been hours since we got back, and I've been trying to wrap my head around the fact that I actually saw Derek, alive and well. Sleep has been elusive, and I couldn't help but feel restless. I reached for my phone to fill in my friend Amy about everything that's been going on. She had been bombarding me with messages and calls, but I hadn't gotten enough time to respond.
When she finally answered the phone, she exclaimed, 'Hey, I've been calling you! You had me so worried. I had to calm down after Xavier gave me a call to assure me that you're alright now.'
'He called you?' I asked, surprised.
