“I don't know where he is. Go look for him yourself and leave me out of it,” I replied.
“If I later find out you've been helping him hide, you'll pay for it dearly, Xavier,” Cosmos threatened as he walked towards the chair opposite the shelf.
“Why are you even looking for Derek?” I asked, finally showing interest in his words.
“You can't know the details. Just know that I'm trying to look out for you,” he replied.
“Look out for me? Why? What's going on that you and Derek aren't telling me?” I asked, feeling confused.
“Don't worry, it'll be settled. Just don't hesitate to call me when you see Derek,” he said, standing up to leave.
