I returned from the business trip, and Ethan was the first to welcome me back with shocking news.
“You were attacked?” I asked him as I entered my office.
“Yes, sir. They came armed, and the way they easily bypassed our security walls makes me suspect we have a traitor among us,” he said.
“How many people were injured?” I asked him.
“Just four, boss. Two of our men and two of the ladies,” he replied.
“And where are they currently?” I inquired.
“I immediately called the doctor, and he attended to them. They are recovering fast,” he replied.
“Okay, good,” I said. “And what about her?” I asked.
“Her? Who?” he asked.
I didn't answer him. Instead, I left him alone to figure it out himself. I wasn't ready for long talks and explanations.
