It took forever for Iarred to land on Lastroumia. My second heart thundered in my chest with excitement. As soon as my spaceship landed on the planet surface, I could feel her. A bolt of electricity ran up my spine. The warmth of her essence covered me. I met with my men who were gathered in a line awaiting my orders.
“Tadurian, the females with Tamsin are feisty. I don't know what they've been through, but I can imagine that they won't be happy to see us. They’re probably fearful of all aliens and think that we have come to enslave them.”
Thaeldaraers shook his head. “They open fired on us. They are not as helpless as we perceived them to be. I’m beginning to believe that the human’s determination is a powerful weapon that they seemed to use at will.”
