Jill slapped at the beeping alarm on her phone until it shut up, then curled back under the blankets as she tried to gather the will to get up and get on with her day. This wasn’t a problem she had often but occasionally, it was an issue. She lay under the blanket, eyes closed and trying to fall back to sleep, but her mind wouldn"t stop. If she didn"t get up, she would be late to work. She might miss a message from Gizmo about going out. Still, she wasn"t ready to leave the relative safety of her bed. The thought of Gizmo made her reach one arm out from under her cocoon of blankets, snatch her phone and pull it into her hide out.
