I must’ve fallen asleep because when I woke up, Cronan was curled up behind me under the covers, holding me like he’d been there the whole time.  Disoriented, I got up and looked him over, wondering if the visit from Zechariah hadn’t just been some weird dream.      It would make more sense if it had.     Reading his mind like that, the riddle surrounding mythical creatures of fire and ice—none of it seemed real.  Cronan and I are linked so there’s no room for anybody else.  At least, I don’t think so.  Is it possible to be linked to two vampires?     Or maybe I could read everybody’s minds now.  Maybe Zech isn’t the only one.  It’s not like I’d gone around trying to read anybody recently.  Then again, I’d never been successful before, not even with Cronan.     “Vi,” he breathed into m
