I came up with a plan.     It wasn’t a great one but I had hope.     I’d decided I’d wait for him to show up, open the door, pretend like it was just somebody who’d wandered up to the wrong door, and go about my day like nothing happened.  I could do that, right?  Blow him off?  All I had to do was hover around the entrance of the house close to six.  No biggie, right?     Mom had ordered pizza.  Dad, Theo, and Phil were out in the living room playing with the Wii and I sat there, rigid on the kitchen stool, impatiently waiting for six o’clock to arrive.  Fifteen minutes.  He’d be here in just fifteen minutes.     I was not prepared.     Mom took a seat in the stool next to me while we sipped coffee side by side and was rambling on about their Pilates instructor and how cute she thoug
