It was a normal high school party.  Everything about it seemed normal . . . except me.     *What’s happening?*     It was hard to focus on the sound of Zech’s thoughts.     The party was bumping and in the midst of everything, of Aurelia bringing in a drunk looking Charlotte who was slightly flushed, this wide, satisfied smile on her face; of Cronan getting into a “competitive” game of beer pong with Matt who all but dragged him over to play—I don’t know.     Something went wrong.     Hunger.     Invasive, impossible to ignore.     The hunger was almost painful and I’d excused myself to the restroom to calm down.     To catch my breath.     Since the restroom was occupied, I wound up stumbling down these steps leading to the basement which was, thankfully, empty.  It was set up li
