He tossed a blanket over Cronan and Aurelia before turning and frowning at me. “You mean, you did this?”
I just stared at them, both unconscious, and nodded.
He checked their pulses. “They’re just asleep, I think.” He gave me a worried look. *She’s definitely not human.* When my eyes snapped to him, he averted his eyes, rolling back on his heels, scratching the back of his neck. *s**t. I keep forgetting she can hear everything I’m thinking.*
A giggle.
His dark eyes shifted back to me and I threw my head back, laughing. *She’s losing it. I guess I’d lose my s**t too in her situation. It’s . . . yeah, this is a lot.*
My knees gave out and I sat on the floor, laughter turning to sobs.
“It’s okay,” he said.
