*Mature Content (Gore, violence, sadism) Heavy lids covered Mary's eyes as if weights rested on top of them. “Theo,” she groaned, rolling over onto her side. The mattress was soft and warm beneath her, and Theo’s scent wafted into her nose. She breathed it in more and spread her arm across the space beside her. It was Empty. “Theo,” she called again. She still couldn’t open her eyes but suspected that the light was off with the way her lids remained pitch black. It must have been night then. The problem was, she couldn’t remember the day. She pressed her face to the pillow and inhaled more of Theo's scent just to make sure she hadn’t been mistaken. She was still there, in Theo’s bed, safe. 'You’re safe. Shhh, you’re safe.' Her heart repeated the words said by Theo. Her eyelids open
