Chapter 67New YorkThe Moses’ revelation generated an incredible amount
of media attention and we were subjected to almost a week of TV, radio and
press interviews. The phone at the hotel never stopped ringing and every
time we entered the hotel lobby, we were besieged by mobs of reporters. Then
the religious fanatics showed up. Not only did they attempt to communicate
their feelings by shouting and screaming, many were openly abusive.
The hotel manager was polite but firm.
“I’m afraid I must ask you to leave. It is
disturbing other residents and it is affecting our business. Please be ready
to check out tomorrow.”
