Sarah woke up after good two hours of a short nap. Well, folks sleep a little bit more to get rid of their worries besides enough sleep makes you functional, she made an excuse to herself and with a big yawn got up from the bed.

She walked to the closet where a full-length mirror was installed. She looked at herself in the mirror. Hmmm looking good enough to attend the reception. She thought.

She looked for her phone in her bag to call her mother. It showed three missed calls from her Mom. Sarah dialed her Mom's number but she didn't attend her phone. She decides to call her later. First, she thought to take a hot shower before getting ready for the reception.

The washroom is on left from the closet.

Rich people have a thing for huge washrooms. Her whole house is smaller than this washroom. She stepped into the shower stall, took off her clothes, and let the water soak her body. She leathered her body with soap and after that with body wash.

Martha saw her coming and stopped working.

Can I get a cup of coffee I need it so bad?

Right away Mrs. James.

Sarah waited in her room for her coffee.

After 10 minutes Martha appeared with freshly brewed coffee.

Okay, Martha can you show me the way to his study?

She took a sip from her coffee and got up to leave for James's study.

This way, Mam. Martha left her on the door of James's study.

It was her first time talking to him in person before that Travis was the one who negotiated the contract with her. She nervously knocked on the door and waited for the response.

A deep voice came from inside.

She entered the study her heart started racing and her palms began to sweat. He was sitting in his full glory on a big leather chair behind the desk.

Oh God, why do I get intimidated by him.

You asked for my presence, Mr.James? She masked her nervousness and spoke with confidence.

James motioned her to sit opposite him.

He was looking so damn handsome in those specs. She averted her eyes from his gorgeous face and start to look at the desk to conceal her admiration for his beauty. I need you to read all the clauses of our agreement so we can negotiate if needed. James's deep hot voice brought her back to reality.

He placed a file in front of her.

Sarah took the file from the desk and began to read it carefully.

James observed her closely for the first time since they married this morning.

The contract asserts the following clauses:

_This agreement is confidential.

_both parties have to respect the agreement's terms.

_Party A will pay 1,000,000$ to Party B.

_Half payment on the first day of marriage and half on the last day of this contract marriage after 1 year.

_Both parties will have to respect each other's privacy.

_In case of breaching the contract Party A holds the right to take legal action against party B.

Sarah took a pen from the table and crossed the 3rd and 4th clauses on the agreement.

James was gawking at the girl sitting opposite him.

I don't need this money, Mr. James. I had my reasons to get married, your money was not the reason so you don't need to pay me. We will terminate this contract the moment you will ask for it so I'm removing these clauses. Sarah crossed the line on the contract after that she signed the contract.

James felt intrigued with her words for the first time in his life. He thought she married him because of his money like every other gold digger wanted to marry him for his money. How could she be different from those gold diggers?

If there's not anything else to discuss I shall take the leave I need to get ready for tonight's event? Sarah asked.

James nodded in response.

Sarah got up and left his study.

Her words indicated her chastity. James can comprehend people's intentions and detect manipulation even before the first conversation and his experience told him that this girl is different from all the women he came across in his entire life.

He felt touched by her demeanor.
