Priest's voice echoed in her ears.

Not in her dreams, Sarah thought to marry like this, to marry a stranger she never imagined her life would take an unpredictable turn like this, she never thought.

She has no choice but to say yes.

Not so sure about her future, about this marriage.

Priest announced.

She had so many fantasies about being kissed for the first time in her mind. Being kissed by Harry, her love of life. His soft lips were on hers. How would his lips feel on hers she used to speculate.

James held her face with both his hands and placed a delicate kiss near her lips instead of on her lips. A jolt of electricity run through her body. It felt strange yet amazing to be kissed by a man for the first time in her entire life.

she felt amazed yet relieved for not being kissed on the lips by a stranger whom she does not love. but how come it felt so good. Even though it wasn't on her lips it was good enough to make her heart go crazy.

James released her face and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. It was just an act of affection to fool his grandmother. James married Sarah because of his Grandmother. She forced him to tie the knot within a year otherwise she will cut all the ties with him. Being the sole heir of the empire, James was bound to keep alive this dynasty and had to marry. Even though he was not someone who wants to get commit to a relationship he had to tie the knot with someone. So assigned a task to his most trusted assistant Travis, to find him a suitable match.

This marriage is nothing but a contract to deceive both their families and the whole world. James was fooling his grandmother and Sarah was taking revenge on her boyfriend whom she loved more than anything in the world by marrying the richest man in the country. She was also deceiving her parents by pretending to be happy. She felt guilty for doing that but she has to show that bastard Harry that she is not a pathetic woman who will cry for him for being dumped and after went through this trauma she'd forgive him for cheating on her, for breaking her heart but one thing Harry does not know is that she would never forgive a cheater.

To her, cheating is not a mistake it's a choice.

After crying for months she decided to move on.

One day she was working in her office when she got a marriage proposal from a stranger and that stranger turns out to be the most handsome and richest man in the whole country. Sarah investigated James. He has a clean reputation but he's an arrogant man other than that everything about him was fine.

James's assistant told her he wants to marry a simple girl and Sarah is the suitable match for this marriage. He told her about the agreement and its terms. After two days of thinking, she called his assistant and told him that she agreed to the terms of the contract.

If she has to marry anyway why not marry a handsome stranger whom she met for the first time in Church on her wedding day.

she smiled at her Destiny. She was happy to see her parents happy for their only daughter who is, in reality pretending to be happy.

Her husband is also putting on a good show in front of his Grandmother, smiling brightly trying hard to look happy. If it wasn't for his grandmother's wish to see him getting married he would never even think of marriage in his dreams.

After meeting the guests and getting blessings from their elders they left for home.

Sarah was so nervous and uncomfortable throughout the ride. Her new chapter of life had just begun minutes ago and here she is sitting with a strange man who is her husband now. She never thought of getting married like that to a stranger just to get rid of her parents' nagging to get married. They want to see her happy and content after her breakup with Harry.

After several minutes of silence James finally spoke with her about their reception ceremony and told her to act like a good wife in front of his Grandmother. she nodded her head in cognition.

Eventually, they reached his residence.

He held the car's door open for her,

took her by hand, and led her inside the Mansion.

Army of uniformed servants welcomed them. James asked the housekeeper to take Sarah upstairs to her bedroom room and to get her ready for tonight's reception.

Martha the head housekeeper was an elderly woman who showed Sarah her room. Martha was so warm to her. she briefly gave her a tour of her new home and showed Sarah her bedroom.

Sarah's room was very spacious and beautiful. She felt so amazed to see the interior of the room, those tall windows, the floor of the room was like a mirror one can see his face in it and that exquisite furniture, everything was on point in this room.

She never lived in a mansion before let alone in a luxurious bedroom.

It's pretty evident that her husband was not going to sleep in here with her and this is fine with her because she is not used to sharing her space with anyone.

Sarah considered taking a quick nap before tonight's reception. There is so much on her mind right now and taking a nap will help her think clearly. She was so exhausted that Sleep starts to engulf her as she lie down on the bed. All her sorrows and wounds seemed to be vanished by this sleep.
