Open the box .

Alisa pov

“Open it” Sam said whilst pushing me towards the bed.

“I don’t want to open it Sam. I can smell the blood!” We had entered mine and Cam’s room to wait for the others to return. When I walked in, a box was placed on the bed and a strange smell lingered in the air.

“f**k it, I’ll open it!” Jordyn pushed forward and grabbed onto the top of the box ready to open it. I saw her close her eyes and take a deep breath before she ripped the lid open.

The smell instantly hit everyone’s nose and poor Violet ran to the bathroom the sound of her violently throwing up filling the room.

“That’s f*****g nasty!” Jordyn gagged and backed away from the box.

I stepped closer to peer into the box, inside was someone’s entrails and it f*****g stank.

Cam had been mind linking me before and was on his way back, he needed to see this. Someone had been in our room. I know it wasn’t the demon because he has a very specific smell and that wasn’t in here. Also Katrina has a protection spell cast on the pack house so he can’t get in, but someone has.

“Who would do this?” My mother asked, she wasn’t good with blood and guts and looked a little pale.

“Mum, go sit down with Faye and Violet.” I smiled at her and she just nodded her head and walked over to the sofa.

“It’s Scarlet! She’s f****d up enough to do something like this.” Chloe stated. Katrina walked over to her and rubbed her arm to try to comfort her.

“I agree.”

“Huh huh.” Myself and Sam both said together

Imogen was walking around the room, checking every nook and cranny, Jordyn was standing by the balcony door now, like a night club bouncer. Mum, Faye aunt June and Violet where sat on the sofa and me Sam, Chloe and Katrina stood looking into the box when Cam came bursting through the door nearly taking it off its hinges with Mason, Alex and Max behind him.

Max saw Violet looking a little green around the gills and walked over to her putting his hand to her head to see if she felt hot. Satisfied she was ok he came over to the box. Alex headed straight for Chloe and pulled her into a hug and Mason was stroking Sam’s face, all the men checking on their mates. Cam grabbed my elbow and turned me to face him pulling me into his embrace.

“Are you ok my love?”

“I am. I don’t know who brought this” I pointed to the box “into our room. I don’t recognise the scent.” Cam, Alex and Mason all lifted their noses up and started to sniff, Alex let out a snarl, Mason looked pissed and Cam’s eye had turned black.

“LEAH!!!” Cam growled out through his teeth.

“I thought I recognised the smell of skank!” Violet hissed from the sofa still looking a little green around the gills.

“So she’s helping Scarlett and Blagden?” I asked, shocked that one of Cam’s pack members, my pack member would do this to us. I get that she’s upset that Cam dumped her because he had found me but this. This was another level of f****d up.

“Find Leah now!” Cam growled, I looked at him and saw his eyes were still black. I lifted my hand up and cupped his cheek. “Calm down baby.” I whispered to him “We need to think rationally not in anger.”

“Your right my love,” his eyes returned to normal and he leaned down and kissed my lips softly.

“What would I do without you?”

“Go bat s**t crazy and live a normal and dull life.” I giggled. He smiled at me and turned to Alex and Mason.

“Find her, she probably thinks she has gotten away with this so she shouldn’t be hard to find.”

“On it,”

“Leave it with us,” they both said.

Alex ran his hand down Chloe’s face. “Stay here please,” he said to her.

“I will,” she replied.

They both left the room and Faye walked over and hugged Cam, she reached across and pulled me into the hug.

“I’m sorry your ball was ruined.” She said to me. I forgot all about it with everything that has happened.

“Maybe we can make it up to the pack? After this is all sorted we can have another ball.” I said intent on making sure that happened. She smiled at me but it didn’t reach her eyes.

“We will indeed, I’m going to fill your father in on what’s happening here. I will see you both tomorrow.” She kissed Cam on his cheek and then me and walked over to Violet and Max and did the same.

“Come on ladies, let’s escort each other home.” My Mum and aunt June stood up and left the room with her.
