Chapter 2Rachel arrived at the science museum two hours later. Meeting Katie in the lot with Andrew, catching up and getting back to the Martins, and then finessing her own excuse as to why she couldn’t stay for dinner, ended up being a lot harder than she imagined. She said something about the debate, an errand, and a favor and then begged off without any more explanations. It sucked to leave her favorite sister in the lurch, but she figured Andrew would fill her in soon enough.
As Rachel pulled up to the museum lot, with only ten minutes to spare, she felt like she was on a mission. Not quite as serious or ominous as The X-Files, but something cool nonetheless.
