Ezra whipped her head back at him, completely stunned at the words that came out of his mouth without hesitation. Axel showed indifference in his expression but he couldn't do it any longer. He had to make her say it.
"Are you seriously accusing me of that?" She asked, looking betrayed just the same. Axel knew he was being heartless but he wasn't mad at her. He just wanted to understand.
"Yes," he said, coldly clenching his jaw with an unsure feeling.
"Even after I put my trust in you?" She asked again, really pushing her point to make believe.
"Yes," he said, again, trying to squeeze out any sense of feeling she might have that he'll believe her that easily. "I really don't wanna be doing this. So, just tell me the truth. Or else..."
