"Did you really think I fell for you? What a joke!" She smirked, staring right at his dumbfounded face. "I never loved you."
Her tone was proud and degrading which seemed to size down the man in front of her. She could clearly make out the aggrieved look on him but he was shocked.
To clear it off, once and for all, she stepped up once again...
"You.. were nothing more than an obstacle in my way. I wanted to get rid of you for so long," her words stilled the air between them.
There were people around them. The onlookers whispered and even chuckled at the man who didn't speak a word, let alone shift in his place. He was frozen and she couldn't figure out what he was thinking.
She didn't need to think twice before saying those things to his face. It never occurred to her that late
