Lovella stepped down from the car, picked up her bag, closed the door, then began walking toward the entrance.
She typed in the passcode like she owned the villa, and the door opened freely, allowing her to walk in.
"Babe!" she called loudly as she dropped her bag on the couch.
"Don't tell me she's still sleeping," she murmured to herself, picking up her bag again as she headed upstairs.
She opened the bedroom door and found it completely empty. That did not surprise her. She dropped her bag somewhere and moved toward another door, entering an entirely different room.
Inside the room, everything was completely blacked out. All the dark curtains were drawn, making it look like nighttime even though it was broad daylight.
Books were scattered all over the floor, along with loose sheets of paper, pencils, and pens. The laptop was still open, and the entire place looked chaotic.
There was a tall shelf filled with books, about ninety percent of them hers. On the other side, different awards were neatly arranged.
On the couch, Summer was asleep. Her long hair covered her entire face, making it look like the back of her head instead. Her body was positioned in different directions, almost falling off the long couch.
The door suddenly opened loudly and Lovella stormed in.
"Oh f**k!! Gross!!" she yelled, kicking the couch.
"I'mma kill you, b***h, if you do that again," Summer mumbled in her sleep.
"What the f**k?? Why is this place in such a mess? And why are you still sleeping? It's noon already," Lovella said.
"I worked overnight. I destroyed a whole city. My fans are gonna hate me once this book is out," Summer smiled.
"Don't tell me you killed your leads again this time."
"No, I didn't. Just something worse," Summer smirked.
"b***h, get up. I can't stand this place," Lovella said as she left the room.
Summer yawned and stood up from the couch. It was her workroom, and she had worked till late midnight before falling asleep.
She followed Lovella out, and they entered her bedroom. Lovella was already on the bed, scrolling through her phone.
"What is the hottest model doing in my house this morning tho?" Summer asked, taking off her pajamas.
"So you ditched me last night. You didn't go to the party with me," Lovella said.
"Why should I? Aren't you supposed to be Jane's fake bestie as usual? And besides, you know I hate parties, and I hate Jane even more. I might have..."
"Killed her and hid her body, yeah I know, but can you ever calm down?" Lovella cut in.
Summer scoffed and rolled her eyes.
She left the room and entered the bathroom, not bothering to close the door.
"Can we hang out? I'm taking a break from work," Lovella called after her.
"No, I have a deadline. I'm supposed to finish my book today and..."
"I don't give a f**k. The company will wait another month if you say so. You're their most precious asset. f**k them," Lovella snapped.
"b***h," Summer muttered.
Silence followed.
"You wouldn't ask me how last night went?" Lovella asked after a few minutes.
"I told you I don't care about anything that has to do with Jane..."
"I met Roderick," Lovella cut in.
"Tell me more," Summer said as she came out. Lovella smirked, watching Summer sit in front of the dressing mirror.
"He's exactly what I imagined..."
"Cold, right?" Summer asked, looking at her through the mirror.
"Yeah, but I love hard men," Lovella winked.
"Bet he saw your ass. He was only pretending," Summer said.
Lovella laughed.
"I gave him my card. My number is there...but I doubt he's gonna call me," she said.
"He won't," Summer replied, facing her.
"Forget the card. He will not call you," she added.
"Well...?" Lovella raised her brows.
"He just needs to keep seeing you, and that's exactly what we're gonna do," Summer said.
"I was thinking about that..."
"You're smart, smarter than Jane. So I don't want to be the one giving you plans. I want you to make Jane cry on your own. I will encourage you, but you will do this yourself. I've been dying to see Jane's tears since that day in high school," Summer said.
Lovella bit her lips.
Summer finished dressing up.
"So where are we going?" she asked.
"Do you even have any other color in your closet aside from black and red?" Lovella suddenly asked.
"Yes, I do," Summer replied.
"What color?" Lovella raised her brows.
"Pepper red, deep red, flashy black, dim black..."
Lovella shook her head, grabbed her bag, and walked out.
Summer rolled her eyes and followed her.

"Es un placer hacer negocios con usted, Sr. Valdez.(It's such a pleasure doing business with you, Mr Valdez)," the man said in Spanish as they shook hands, signaling the end of the meeting.
"Yo tambiรฉn.(Me too)," Roderick replied calmly, and the man smiled.
They walked out together, everyone else following behind, including the bodyguards.
"Siempre habรญa oรญdo hablar de lo grande que es este lugar, y viรฉndolo ahora mismo, todavรญa es increรญble.(I've always heard about how big this place is, and seeing it now, it's still unbelievable)," the man said as they walked.
"Hmm," Roderick nodded.
"Estarรฉ encantado de conocerte de nuevo.(I will be glad to meet you again)," the man added as they stopped in front of the elevator.
"Realmente no me importa.(I really don't mind)," Roderick replied.
The man smiled.
"Entonces, adiรณs seรฑor Valdez.(Then, goodbye Mr Valdez)," he waved as the elevator doors opened and he stepped in with his men.
Roderick only nodded and waited until the doors closed.
"What's next for today?" he asked Sean as he walked away.
"You seem to be free for the rest of today, boss," Sean answered, hurrying to match his pace.
"I don't like that language," Roderick muttered.
"I just thought you might want to..."
"Save it. Stop thinking about s**t, Sean," Roderick cut him off.
"Noted," Sean bowed and stopped at the entrance to Roderick's office.
Roderick entered and was immediately greeted by a voice.
"How many hours did that meeting take? I've been waiting forever," Ramir said.
"You should have left. Nobody asked you," Roderick replied coldly.
"True," Ramir nodded.
"Why are you here?" Roderick asked, grabbing a bottle of water.
"I'm hungry. How about lunch together?" Ramir smiled.
"I'm not interested. How about you go with yourself?" Roderick forced a smile.
"Dude, are we really best friends?" Ramir stood up.
"I never said we were..." Roderick replied.
"Bastardo," Ramir scoffed.
"Where are we going?" Roderick asked, and Ramir grinned.
"I promise I won't take too much time..."
"You don't actually need to lie. I'm done for the day," Roderick said, picking up his jacket from the couch.
"So what were you stressing me about?" Ramir frowned.
"You're more handsome when stressed," Roderick said bluntly as he walked out.
Ramir sighed, shook his head, and followed him.
โAnd for the first time in a long time, his free day was about to collide with someone he shouldnโt be thinking about.
