"If I didn't show up in your place to wake you up, you wouldn't even realize you haven't eaten all day, right? And remember you rejected going out at first," Lovella said as she pulled over in the parking lot.
"How about you let it go? I'm not Jane," Summer muttered.
"What?" Lovella laughed.
Summer smirked.
"You think their food will be nice here?" Lovella asked.
"Are you kidding me right now? This is one of the best restaurants around here, don't play with me," Summer said.
"No mask? What if anyone recognizes you?" Lovella asked.
"Nobody really gives a f**k here, trust me. Come out," Summer replied and stepped down from the car first.
Lovella followed her, and they approached the entrance.
"You're welcome to..."
"I don't care," Summer cut the man at the door off and walked in.
Lovella smiled briefly at the man and followed Summer.
They were directed to a table, and soon they were both seated with the menu book in their hands.
"I don't really know what to pick here, I'll eat whatever you want to eat," Lovella said and dropped the menu. She picked up her phone instead.
"I didn't see your nails, they are so pretty," Summer pouted.
"You should get yours done too. Oops, sorry, you can't at the moment," Lovella smirked wickedly.
"I told you I'm going to finish that book today," Summer snapped.
"But you know you can actually go for really short nails that make it easier to write anytime, right?"
"I know, I just don't like it," Summer said.
Lovella nodded.
Summer called the waiter and gave him everything they needed while he wrote it down.
"I will be back soon," he bowed and walked away.
A few seconds later, Roderick and Ramir walked in, and Summer was the first to see them since she was facing directly toward the exit while Lovella had her back turned.
Summer immediately used her eyes to signal Lovella, who raised her brows.
"Isn't that Roderick and Ramir, the CEO of DOMINOS?" Summer whispered, just loud enough for Lovella to hear.
"Don't move," Summer quickly added.
Roderick and Ramir walked past their table and headed to another one a short distance away from theirs.
Lovella didn't even have to do anything because of the way they sat. Roderick was facing her directly, and their eyes locked immediately, but Roderick looked away.
"You see him?" Summer asked.
"Yeah. He ignored me," Lovella said, her eyes still fixed on Roderick.
Who cares if he looked away.
Just as she predicted, Roderick looked at her again, and their eyes met once more.
This time, she looked away first. Their orders arrived, and they started eating.
"Am I the only one curious?" Lovella suddenly asked.
"About what?" Summer looked at her.
"How Jane ended up with him? So she broke up with Alex?" Lovella muttered.
"Are you serious right now? You think she loved Alex? She only did that because she was jealous. Alex was the hottest in school back then," Summer said.
"Hmm, fair enough," Lovella nodded.
"I still wonder how she got married to Roderick. I mean, everyone says he's literally unapproachable, and suddenly she..."
"Lovella, Jane's parents are rich. What do you think? You think Roderick proposed to her or what? It's obviously their families who arranged it. You know it's all about family business. It's an arranged marriage. But I'm still a little surprised though, because Roderick isn't even using his family name, nor handling the family business, and he doesn't seem like the type who can be forced to do anything. So whatever it is, he willingly accepted to marry her as well," Summer said.
"Hmm," Lovella rested her jaw on her hand on the table.
"How come you know so much about the family?" she asked.
Summer coughed.
"That's suspicious," Lovella squinted her eyes.
"Oh shut up. Most people know who the Basils are. Their family name is Basil. Roderick isn't using that name, isn't it obvious?" Summer frowned.
"I wonder why..."
"His father has two wives, and Roderick is not the first son," Summer smirked.
"Oh f**k s**t," Lovella mumbled.
"But who cares now? Roderick is richer than his whole family. Like, he's the richest man in Spain right now," Summer said, chewing slowly.
"I'm still shocked. He's just twenty eight, a trillionaire?" Lovella shook her head.
"Twenty eight?" Summer raised her brows.
"Yeah. I asked Kimmy to find out about him, and..."
"She tried, but he's not twenty eight. He's twenty six," Summer cut in.
"What?" Lovella batted her lashes.
"Yeah. Jane doesn't deserve him," Summer said bluntly.
"I'm not planning to get married to him," Lovella smirked.
"Oh, you just want to f**k him, make him divorce Jane, and then break up with him too. Yeah, I know," Summer said.
"That's the plan. That's exactly what she did to me anyway," Lovella rolled her eyes.
"Roderick is harder than Alex though. Alex was a small boy without sense, but Roderick is..."
"He doesn't have a choice," Lovella cut in.
"Hmm, I love the confidence," Summer nodded.

"You saw those girls on our way in, right? They are mad hot," Ramir told Roderick.
It was at that same moment Roderick and Lovella's eyes locked, and he looked away.
"No, I didn't," he muttered.
Somehow, their eyes met again, and this time it was Lovella who looked away.
"Are you kidding me? You should know them. Lovella and Summer. She's a writer, a popular one at that," Ramir said.
"Sounds like you're more interested in Summer," Roderick said.
"She's totally my type," Ramir grinned.
Roderick sighed and said nothing.
"Just because you're married doesn't mean you shouldn't have fun," Ramir smirked.
"I'm not interested..."
"Dude, don't be boring," Ramir groaned.
Roderick ignored him and sipped his wine.
Somehow, again, his eyes met Lovella's.
"I'm going to use the restroom," he muttered and stood up.
Ramir watched him walk away.

"Welcome, boss."
All heads bowed the moment Roderick stepped out of the car. He went inside with Sean holding his briefcase.
Once inside, Jane was already waiting. She immediately ran over and hugged him, jumping excitedly.
"I've been waiting for you," she muttered, kissing his cheeks as her arms wrapped around his neck.
"I missed you so much," she pouted and went for his lips.
Her eyes closed as she kissed him deeper. Roderick held her waist and kissed her back.
He broke the kiss, and she smiled.
"You should take your bath. The maids will set your dinner ready..."
"Don't bother about that. I'm not hungry," Roderick said as he walked away. She followed him.
"Why? You ate something already?" she asked worriedly.
"Yeah. I ate with Ramir," Roderick replied.
"I don't like that. You know dinner would be waiting for you, and..."
Roderick looked at her, and she went quiet.
"I'm not hungry. Cool?" he said.
"Fine," Jane muttered.
They entered their suite, and she followed him into the dressing room.
"Let me help with that," she said, starting to unbutton his shirt.
"I got a call from mother," she added.
Roderick looked at her.
"Mom?" he asked, and she nodded.
"They want us to join them for dinner tomorrow," Jane said.
"Why didn't she call me first?"
"I'm sure she did. You just didn't see it. You will be available tomorrow night, right?" Jane asked.
"If I'm not, you'll go alone..."
"But I don't want to go alone. The last time too, I went alone. Honey, please just make yourself available," she said.
Roderick said nothing and pulled his shirt off.
Jane moved closer and hugged him, rubbing his chest.
"I'm going to take my bath," Roderick said.
"How about you wait a little?" she asked, kissing his back.
She moved to the front and kissed his chest.
"It's been a while, don't you think? I miss you so much I can't even breathe properly. You're always overworking yourself and..."
Roderick grabbed her waist and slammed his lips on hers.
Jane immediately opened up and moaned as he lifted her with one hand. She wrapped her legs around his waist.
"Don't ever complain about this again," he whispered into her ear.
"Just ask for it," he added.
Jane smiled. The kiss continued as he made his way back to the bedroom, and they ended up on the bed.
Jane's loud moans followed.
