Catalina As I entered the schools bus I suddenly caught everyones attention whether it was me being the new girl or how beautifully I was dressed. I had the standard school uniform blue skirt, long sleeved white button up with a Magestia High blue coat and a striped red tie. I had thigh high white socks with black running shoes and my golden locs were tied up as I smiled with my plumped pink lips. I quickly made my way to an open seat and slid down to the window, as the bus pulled off I begin to pretend to be nonchalant to the gossip and constant staring around me. The bus pulled up to the front gate that had the letters MH engraved into the silver. With a quick word into the intercom from the driver the big gates doors swung open and they continued down the path to the courtyard. Once the bus settled and the doors opened the students began making their way out as they all grouped together giggling in excitement. When Catalina climbed off the bus she was amazed at the sight before her, she stared in awe at the big rustic castle. She didn't know what to do or where to go she just stood frozen as she watched the others, you couldn't tell who was having their first year and who was returning. She knew this was because these kids all grew up in this world, they had theyre parents to guide them and teach them. Whereas, Catalina had no idea what so ever what to do or what not to do. Just then 3 teachers followed by what seemed like the headmaster walked out of the big steel doors, the teachers broke off with one standing on the left, one in the middle, and one on the right. The first teacher had curly red hair that was pulled back in a low ponytail, she stood firm and stared at the children before her. “If you are in Mrs.Grants homeroom please line up before her.” The headmaster spoke. As a group of kids made their way in front of the fiery haired woman Catalina begin to become worrisome and her stomach begin to make her nauseous, she did not know whose class she belonged to and she knew this would end up badly. Just then he spoke again “If you are in Ms.Higgins homeroom please line up before her.” His stern voice spoke. And again the students begin to line up in front of the teacher she had big thick glasses and disheveled brown hair that was tossed in a loose bun. Lastly, “The remainder of you may line up for Mr.Ficks.” The man spoke again. The remaining children made their way to the tall and lean man who stood still with his hand in his pockets, he had blonde locks that was gelled back and a golden monocle which made him look dashing. Catalina wanted to barf who was in charge of informing her where to go, she wanted to move but her body was frozen. “What on earth are you doing girl?” Headmaster asked sternly. A look of confusion was plastered on his face and all the children turned to face Catalina, she didn't know what to say so she just stood there stupidly. “Well! Go on get in your line! He demanded. “I-i don't know wh-where…..to go sir.” She managed to stutter out. The children begin giggling and laughing as Catalina's face ran pale, the headmaster look annoyed as he took a sigh of frustration. “What's your name little girl?” He asked. “Catalina.” She choked out. “And?” The headmaster continued. “Catalina Moon.” She finished. His eyes went wide before returning to a contained posture then with a glance at the teachers he dismissed them all. Catalina was a bit taken aback at the sudden display in front of her but she quickly relaxed as she realized the embarrassing nightmare was over. The headmaster made his way to her “Madalyn Moon is your mother?” He asked. Catalina's eyes went wide with shock at the mention of her mother but she silently nodded her head. A huge grin was plastered on the headmaster’s face at her answer “Your mother was a student of mine, but back then I was her teacher. She had a brilliant mind and was destined for greatness but she gave it all up and disappeared, and now I have her beautiful daughter standing right in front of me.” He finished. Catalina was completely stunned before finally swallowing the lump in her throat “I can't believe you knew my mother, i-I can't believe she went here.” She spoke beaming ear to ear. The headmaster nodded “Now come along, your going to be in Mr.Ficks classroom.” He chuckled. The pair walked into the building and down the corridor before stopping in front of a large door, with a stern knock followed by silence the big creaky door opened swiftly. Mr.Ficks stood in the doorway his eyesight wavering from Catalina to the headmaster “Headmaster Brooks, how can I help you?” He questioned. “Catalina will be in your homeroom class, once the bell rings she'll have Grant, then Higgins and finally the group extra curricular for the day.” Headmaster Brooks finished. With a quick nod from Mr.Ficks Catalina walked into the classroom as the Headmaster begin to leave. The children's attention shift as they all stared at Catalina, she stood standing there frozen with her words caught in her throat. “Go ahead and introduce yourself.” Said Mr.Ficks while taking his seat. Catalina quickly calmed her nerves, she had never been so anxious before “Hello, I'm Catalina Moon and I'm new to the world of magic. I'm half human, half witch but I'm determined to learn and work hard like everyone else.” As she finished she began to regain her self confidence. Mr.Ficks expression changed slightly “Go ahead and take your seat.” He managed to choke out. She had payed attention to his class with 100% determination, she knew she had to be excellent she was going to be the best and make her mother proud. After learning the history behind magic and their kind she made her way to Mrs.Grants class for the math behind each ability, the students were grouped together talking amongst themselves as they walked to class. Catalina felt more alone than ever, people had always liked her she had never been so embarrassed before. After reaching class, she quickly took her seat in the second row and focused straight ahead. Mrs.Grant slowly stood from her chair and begin to introduce herself to the class. "Good Morning students, as you may already know I'm Mrs.Grant. I understand that some of you have sisters, or brothers, but i want you to understand that the gossip around me as a teacher are false. I can be very lenient at times as long as we're on the same page, now pull out your writing paper and title your page. The students quickly in unison grabbed there writing paper and begin to title their page. As Catalina sat there engaging in the lesson of how magic works, she realized that things weren't as bad as she had made it seem. The lesson went on for what felt like eternity, but just in the knick of time the bell went off. " And remember class, the why? behind the what, is the most important factor in anything. The students begin to leave the class, Catalina walked through the halls alone fear slowly growing in her stomach. Reaching the big cafeteria doors she began to prepare for the worst, and with a quick swift motion they opened. Before her she saw all of the others talking amongst one another, and she felt as alone as ever. But she would try her hardest to fit in, I it was the last thing shed do. After filling her tray she made her way to a table, but she couldn't pick just any table she knew she had to stand out as much as possible. But among the other girls, she was not as special a she thought. She was in New territory, it wasn't the humans she had to impress anymore but they were magical beings of all kinds. Just then she saw what appeared to be the "popular" table, She swallowed the lump in her throat and walked towards it. There were four girls around her age sitting in the middle and there were two boys sitting on the other side. Reaching the table Catalina smiled and gently asked, " Mind if I sit here?" They all stared at her until one of the girls answered " Sure, why not? What's your name?" She asked. She had long brunette curls that flowed down her back, and beautiful green eyes. She sat perfectly with a plumped smile on her face as she gracefully greeted Catalina. "Catalina, but friends call me Cat." Cat said as she moved in a little closer. The girls smiled gently, "I'm Marissa, but you can call me Marrie. This is Kate." As she pointed to the girl on her right, She had bouncing black hair that fell just above her shoulder and the softest tan skin. As she stared curiously with her soft brown eyes. "That's A'Moni." Marrie said, pointing to the girl on her far left. She was pale like snow, and shy. She had gorgeous blonde hair tied up, and she hid her big beautiful blue eyes behind her thick black glasses, as she nervously glanced away. "And last but not least, this is Terra." Marrie finished, pointing to the girl directly on her left. She surprisingly resembled Mrs.Grant, with her fiery red disheveled hair tied into a bun atop her head, and her face filled with beautiful blemishes. Her eyes were a calming brown, but she had a very active spirit. The girls warming-ly welcomed Catalina, which was a bit unexpected. "And I'm Mike and this is my brother Will, nice to meet you. Said Mike. Catalina's eyes just about shot out when she noticed the tall and lenient guy sitting in front of her, it was actually him. THE GUY FROM THE BAR!
