Chapter 31: The Attempt
Amanda opened her eyes slowly to birdsong, morning light gently waking her from her sleep. She smiled when she felt Levi's arm tighten around her waist and wiggled back into him, plastering her back to his chest. A moment later, he nosed at her throat, kissing behind her ear.
“Go back to sleep," he said. “The pups are still out cold."
Amanda's stomach growled.
Levi sighed.
“Humans," she sighed in agreement. “Always ruining the moment by getting hungry."
