Lucien’s POV.
“His mum is alive, and maybe he must be referring to his stepdad,” Lucien said, and I gasped lightly.
“Oh, his mum remarried,” I asked, and he nodded.
“I get it now,” I muttered under my breath before I glanced up to take a look at him.
“What else?” I asked, and he shrugged.
“Nothing is interesting about me, I’m such a boring person which I’m sure you must have noticed,” I added with a light smile, but the next thing she did shocked me to the core.
“You’re not boring, instead—you’re one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met,” She said, and she held my hands most reassuringly.
“Thank you,” I flashed her a genuine smile.
