Lilith gasped feeling her entire body lose circulation. She suddenly felt the need to puke at the suggestion. She would rather die a million times over in the most painful way possible than ever even humour the thought in her mind.
She began to hyperventilate and her eyes filled with angry tears. She simply could not accept that such an assumption was made about her. Especially not with someone like Carlos Otero.
"Excuse me?" she spat out airily, her tear filled eyes glaring up at Valerio.
Valerio seemed surprised by her reaction, so much so that he unconsciously took a step back. However, he recovered quickly and continued speaking, further adding fuel to the fire.
"I saw the way you looked at him," he said, his voice icy clear. "What did he do, use you and dump you?"
