Same day of the council meeting

Tobias POV

After the council meeting ended I stared up at the ceiling feeling exhausted. I have a mate but I don't know where she is or how to find her. It's so frustrating that I can't even do anything.

I look at Carlos and see he looks just as exhausted as me maybe even more because he knows how long I've been waiting for my mate. As well as how much he disliked that fact that I was with Alyssa while waiting for my mate. He himself doesn't have a mate but he wants a Luna to protect and look up to.

Us werewolf normally find our mate at the age of 18 but I'm 30 already and haven't found her until now, s**t I still haven't found her and only smelled her in the company lobby. And believe me I would have know if my mate worked at my company as half of the employees are from my pack. In my pack I make it mandatory for all to train and to educate themselves, the supernatural beings like myself aren't going extinct but the world is changing and people are adapting so that means we have to adapt as well otherwise we would be found out eventually and that would be bad as the supernatural world would turn into chaos.

But back to my mate, this feels like t*****e as I can't do anything but wait, until I don't know she just waltz back through my company doors again.

I guess I'll just hope for a miracle tomorrow.

Back to the present

Rin's POV

Driving while in traffic is my number one nemesis, literally I wish death upon them. I just really don't understand why traffic exists. Why does a grandma need to be driving??? The government needs to have a a reevaluation of drivers past the age of 60. Like they need to retake the drivers test since they clearly think they are still driving in the 70s.

While silently wishing doom upon on the person driving slow in front of me, Stuart talks about the case and what questions he's going to ask when we get to Roden Enterprise.

"You will be the main one talking while I'm in the back observing if they are lying or not, just ask where their men were yesterday and what they were doing following the time of death of our victim. The time of death from what I believe is 4:15. Weird time for someone to find a body but weird things happen all the time" I said still scorning whoever is driving this damn minivan in front of me.

"Got it, also I wanted to stop by the City Hall and see if there are any property's near that area as that was a random road to find a body" Stuart said surprising me as I was thinking that same about see if there are any property's near the area. Maybe we do sync sometimes but I still don't know why we were partnered up.

We finally arrive in front of Roden Enterprise after almost crashing out on elderly people a couple times. I swear I'm a good driver but these people honestly make me not want to be a good driver, like to the point I'd be perfectly fine getting pulled over after I made it to where I needed to be.

Parking my car and walking to the front doors with Stuart we were met with security first and then the receptionist. I informed them that I'm there to meet with the CEO or Executive Assistant. The receptionist makes a call and then hangs up looking at me with a sneer. Like what the f**k did I do to her and if she wants to go then we can take this s**t outside. Now I'm agitated but still somewhat calm while waiting for the whoever to come down and speak with us.

Carlos's POV

After having such a s**t day yesterday I was hoping for today to be different.

I really hope to find the Luna soon as I can't wait to meet her and watch her become a supporting role to the pack, I'm sure everyone will love her...maybe not that skank Alyssa but everyone else absolutely.

While thinking to myself in my office I get a call from the receptionist down in the lobby informing me that two detectives are here to ask questions about the case that took place a couple days ago. Just my luck. Now I have to deal with these people. Not to mention a detective stopped by yesterday but Tobias and myself were out at the moment. I guess I shouldn't keep them waiting long. I head over to Tobias's office.

Knock knock

"Come in" I hear him say from inside. I open the door and walk in.

"Hey two detectives are in the lobby here to ask questions about that case I presume" I stated looking at him shuffling through documents.

"Sounds good, bring them up" he says still not looking up from the papers on his desk.

"Understood" I reply, turning and walking to the door. I call the receptionist back and inform her to send them up.

Stuart's POV

Waiting in the lobby is quite annoying as we're here on official business and need answers whether they like it or not. I noticed that the receptionist gave Rin a nasty look for some reason but I'm not worried as I feel like Rin would kick her a*s, not that I've known Rin that long but from what I can tell she can take care of herself.

I hear the phone ring and the receptionist picks up the phone and then looks at us and then to the security standing guard. She looks back at us still looking somewhat smug and then tells us that we can go up and her boss will meet us now. I still don't know what her problem is with us or more specifically with Rin but as long as we get this meeting done then we won't have to come back here and see her stupid face. Hold on pause...what's with me and calling people stupid? I'm not normally like this but for some reason seeing that receptionist be rude to Rin gets under my skin. We get up and head towards the elevator but before the doors close I find where the receptionist is standing and give her the finger. She looks at me shocked and gives me a snare but I just smile. That seems to satisfy me after she was being a b***h.

The doors close after and I turn around to find Rin staring at me.

"What?"

"Nothing, just have never seen you give anyone the finger before" she states.

"Just felt like it, she was a b***h" I say matter of fact.

She smiles after hearing that and then the elevator doors open.

We meet the Executive Assistant who says his name is Carlos Letisk, and walks us over to the CEO office doors. Before, I noticed that Carlos was giving Rin a weird look after we introduced ourselves. What is wrong with the people in this company looking at Rin sideways?

Tobias's POV

After Carlos informed me that detectives were here to speak about the case, all I could think about was where my mate could be at the moment and when I'll get to see her. Shaking out of my thoughts I'm hit with the most amazing smell again and I stand up abruptly knocking down my chair in the process.

"Mate is here" Theo yells in my head.

"I can sense that Theo, but what did I tell you about yelling in my head??? Are you trying to give me a headache?"

"Enough about that, go see where she is, hurry before she's gone again" he practically howls in my head.

As I walk to the doors and yank them open I'm met with Carlos in the other side of the door with a surprised expression on his face from the sudden movement.

"Boss? What's wrong? Did you forget the meeting with detectives?" He asks in a straight sentence while checking his watch.

I look past him and that's when I see her. I'm hit with notes of chamomile, and a woodsy smell like pine trees. Elmer eyes are the deepest brown I have ever seen, they almost look black with small hints of blue. Unknown for two different colors to mix, but I love here eyes. It feels like I could get lost in them and never want to leave.

I quickly compose myself and walk back into my officer and pick up my chair that's lying in the floor. I mindlik Carlos to bring them in.

"Tobias, what's wrong with you?" He asks looking slightly concerned but not enough to show on his face.

"She's here" I state without looking at him.

"Your mate? She's the detective?" He questions walking to stand next to me and looking at her. He looks at my mate with the biggest smile on his face like his whole world lit up.

I found her. She's everything I've ever wanted as a mate. She's strong, independent but I'm sure that will change once we're together as she should be fully dependent on me, she's so beautiful. I'm just so happy to have found her or more like she walked into my lap without me doing much. Who knew the miracle I hoped for would come true.

Rin's POV

After introducing ourselves to Carlos I noticed that he gave me a wired look as if confused about something, I didn't really pay that much attention to and put it past me. As we walked to the front of the CEO doors they suddenly burst open and there stood a man who I assumed was the CEO. He was quite handsome with light Carmel skin and a goatee freshly shaved. But his eyes were doing something to me that I wasn't sure I wanted to know what. They were so blue I could swim in them. I shoved those thoughts way and introduced myself.

"Hello, I'm Detective Panorama, we are here to ask some questions regarding a case that happened a couple days ago" I inform the man that hasn't introduced himself yet. A couple things are very clear. First why are these guys so tall and bulky. Second why the hell are they staring at me like I'm some goddess they worship when we've just met. I swear people are becoming crazier by the day, maybe retirement is looking early for me so I can get out of dodge and away from these crazies.
