May makes it...

Dean opened his eyes when something hit him , jarring him awake too abruptly .

He was unaware of his surrounding for about five seconds , looking around frantically for any familiar items before he remembered that they had still not left the clinic and hurriedly scrambled off, jumping on to his feet .

The second thing he remembered was that something had hit him , he looked down to find a small roll of Band-Aids .

Dean picked it up , feeling an eerie vibe suddenly before he heard a throat clearing and looked towards where May lay .

She was awake and glaring at him .

Dean rushed forward , taking his flashlight with him and disposing off the band-aid.

" May , you are awake ? "

May rolled her eyes before glaring at him .

" No , I am not awake , I am dead and speaking to you as a ghost ".

" Boo ! "

Her attempt to be scary was so weak that Dean immediately understood her sarcasm , he would have played along with her but her health was a priority .

" May , how do you feel ? ".

She did not answer , choosing instead to roll her eyes so Dean switched on the light and widened her eyelids to check her eyes .

Everything seemed okay .

" Could you please get the light out of my eyes ? ".

Dean quickly took it away , she sounded weak but still very much like herself .

He found the bottled water they had given her out of before and opened it .

He put his hands under her head and lifted gently before pressing the bottle to her mouth .

" Do not strain your head , you have stitches on your head that would be a bit hard possibly impossible to redo ".

She stopped drinking and went back to glaring at him which was just comical since he was feeding her .

Dean smiled and held her hand regardless of her glare that was deepening .

Eventually, she ceased glaring and her face morphed into a face that was on the verge of tears .

Dean looked around , thinking of what could have gone wrong so fast .

" Does it hurt anywhere ? Are you okay ? Do you need something ? Are you annoyed by something ? ".

She began to sob quietly and Dean briefly short circuited , he had no idea how to treat this May .

She raised her bandaged hands to her face , covering it as she continued to sniffle .

" I ....I woke u..up up and I did not rec.. recognize this place a...and my throat wa...was too cracked to call out for any...anyone . I knew ...that ..I ...I was not dead since I was sti... still hurting but I thought you had all left me ".

It took Dean a few seconds after she had stopped talking to determine exactly what she had said , he looked back at her when he had completed his decoding .

Dean shook his head as he pointed down to where Jade and Blade also slept .

" We brought you to the clinic at the school , we would not have left you ".

May's face was still covered as she continued to sob .

" And th...then I tr... tried to call out to you all but you all would not wake up and I thought that maybe it was you all that were dead or maybe I was even dreaming ".

Dean chuckled at this and pulled her hand away from her face to see if she was an ugly crier .

She was an angry crier , Dean let her hands cover her face once more .

" How do you feel though ? We barely managed to patch you up with what we had ".

May thought for a second and began to pat her self down as she touched every part of her body she could reach from where she lay .

" I feel okay , a couple of numbness and dull aches but nothing too much to handle... ".

May stopped talking when her patting hands reached her stomach and then began to travel up , very very fast .

" Where is my vest ?! "

She was asking loudly now , Dean deduced that the water and parched throat issue was completely gone .

But , there seemed to be a new problem on the horizon .

Dean blinked , thinking carefully before replying .

" Your back , you were bleeding from your back and we needed to take care of it ".

Yes , that sounded like a very thought through answer .

But May only growled loudly and put her hands to her head as she sat up .

Dean recognized that it was not a good time to tell her that she did not need to be working herself up or moving do much .

She lifted her hand and pointed her index at Blade or was it Jade , Dean could not really tell since he was not facing them .

" Wake those two up right now ! ".

Dean thought it was a fine idea so he bounded over and shook Jade whose eyes opened slowly and leisurely like some one that was not used to being in danger or waking up in a hurry .

" Dean ? What's up ? Is May okay ?! "

Dean had never been good with any variations of sign language , so even as he tried to make a face that completely described the situation , he knew he had to look ridiculous .

Jade looked around him and spotted May , he jumped off the chair and ran forward .

" May , you are awake ! ".

He threw himself into May's arms , forcing May to hug him too but she held on too tight for it to count as an involuntary hug while Dean focused on waking Blade up .

" No , I am not awake , this is just a dream you are dreaming up , so you dream about me this much Jade ".

Dean went to Blade, he slapped , pinched and called his name severally and earned no response , Dean was about ready to stab him with a syringe's needle when Blade's eyes suddenly opened .

" Hey , Dean ! ".

Dean scoffed and moved out of his way so he could see May who was still hugging Jade .

She threw Jade off as soon as Dean turned back around but Blade soon took Jade's place as he rushed forward and enveloped her in his arms .

" Kiddo , I really thought I had lost you ".

May grinned and flicked her hair out of her face suavely .

They ended as soon as she turned and saw Dean , she was suddenly glaring and then looking between all three of them as she narrowed her eyes .

" Which one of you took off my vest ? "

Blade and Jade looked taken aback for a moment before they began to fidget as they looked everywhere but at her , Dean tried to reason with May .

" Come on May , we were in a hurry to save your life , who knows what happened to one little vest along the way , don't you think so too ? "

Jade and Blade nodded in agreement while May burst into a very evil laughter .

" One . little . Vest ? "

"And you dare ask for my opinion now ? "

She focused her glare only on Dean now , Dean realized he should have phrased it in another way .

" What I am trying to say is that none of us really know what happened after the fight ended , we were all in a hurry to save your life ".

Jade and Blade nodded in agreement again and May turned to them .

" Is nodding to whatever Dean says the only thing you both know how to do ? "

They both nodded again.

" Did I at least win the fight ? I don't remember the result but if I stopped fighting , then it is only because I Won the fight , I hope that is true ".

Dean ran over to the only window in the clinic that had been covered up with a locker .

He pushed the locker but it would not budge .

" Guys , I need your help over here ".

Blade and Dean rushed over and joined in to help , they counted to three and pushed the locker away .

The window was now covered by a thin black blind that Dean ripped off .

The sky looked more dawn than dusk , Blade came to the window to observe it too .

" It is almost daybreak , we should leave before morning comes and people can see us ".

Dean went over to where May lay and began to button her scrubs back up .

He pushed her boot on each foot and laced it before turning around to find that Jade was bringing along a sack while Blade was clearing the window so that they could leave from there .

" What is in the sack ? You look like Santa after a famine ".

Jade chuckled at May's comment towards him .

" Don't worry , I have presents for everyone,the good and the bad ".

Dean helped May off the bed before she pushed him off .

" I can walk on my own , do not treat me like an old lady ".

Dean did not protest and only picked his flashlight and followed closely behind her to catch her if anything happened .

Blade had gone through the window and Jade was loitering on the window sill , May pushed him as soon as she got close enough .

Dean held her back as he made to jump out of the window too .

He moved ahead of her and checked that Blade was available to catch her before he helped her out of the room amidst her grumbling .

Once they were all out , they began to walk quietly since the Arena itself was so horrifyingly quiet .

They walked through the field and were almost through the gate when they heard noises behind them .

They were soon surrounded by unrecognizable men and like always they all formed a circle but this time , a three - man circle around May .

" I was quite sure that I would enjoy the death of one of you today ".

They turned to where the voice had come from and Top dog stepped out from behind the men.
