Bound to love

Hey mum! Mara entered with a smile calling her mum who was making dinner in the kitchen. How was your day her mum asked; my day was quiet great Mara answered with a grin, I can sense that her mom replied “I am making your favorite meal so why don’t you go and freshen up while I set the table” sure thing mom I would be down in some minutes. Not long after, Mara’s sister Gigi walked in looking exhausted and drained, “hey mum, hey sis” Gigi said; “what’s good?!” said Mara to Gigi who was grabbing some water from the fridge, nothing much just tired Gigi said; (Gigi is a designer).Well, why don’t you both go freshen up while I set the table “yes mum”! exclaimed Mara and Gigi. Gigi is Mara’s older sister. Apparently , Gigi is Mara’s father’s daughter but not a daughter to Mara’s mum. * * * They finally came downstairs after freshening up to have their dinner both Mara, Gigi and their mother Mrs Vegas were seated at the table ready to have dinner. “There is something I wanted to share with you both it’s actually good news” Mara said; “what is it about Mrs Vegas asked”? “Scott and I are finally official”! Mara exclaimed with excitement “WHAT”!? Gigi exclaimed in shock. “Gigi are you good”? Mrs Vegas asked “yeah I am” said Gigi “I am just excited and overwhelmed that’s all” Gigi proclaimed “ “Oh I see” Mrs Vegas said with a grin. So tell us what he told you Mara; said Gigi. Oh okay; so he sent me a text telling me to come meet him at our favorite restaurant today. So I went to meet him on our lunch break and he asked me to be his girlfriend. That’s great news sis I am so happy for you Gigi said. After everyone was done with dinner, Gigi had to clean the dishes because it was her turn to clean them and the whole time she was cleaning the dishes she was quiet just like someone who had heard some bad news. “ Is everything alright” Mara asked “ yeah everything is good” said Gigi in a calm voice. Okay then! I would be in my room. “ bye sis “ Mara waved at her sister and left. * * * Gigi paced in her room trying to call someone, she looked worried and heart broken; she just kept on repeating the words for what seemed like forever “this can’t be real” Gigi’s phone rang all of a sudden she picked it up and spoke to the person asking why he had to lie to her, why he had to tell her that he loved when he wasn’t ready to be with her she wailed and cried over the phone and the person on the other end just kept on telling her to be calm for him to explain to her; she finally gave in and became calm. “ I did not lie to you Gigi I actually do love you I told her to be my girlfriend because I wanted her to trust me and once I finally get married to her I would gain her trust fully and then we would get everything from her, everything we have ever wanted” said the man on the phone. Gigi wiped her tears and asked him if he was sure of what he said and he assured her not to worry that she was the one he loved and not Mara. “ Oh Scott you always find a way to make me happy” Gigi said “and you always find a way to always satisfy my feelings”, Scott said. And they both laughed over the phone. “Mara is so foolish” Gigi said and they both laughed again like someone had cracked a joke.
