Chapter 11: Entrepreneurs day

Every year, Lakeview Mills has an entrepreneur’s day where all the parents and learners are able to sell appropriate items for children from the ages of 6 till 15 years old. Both Darren and Ty were ecstatic about the day ahead, they were up till late yesterday preparing.

Tina has to go to work so I asked Catherine and Selena to help me get the boys and their stuff ready for school. Ty decided to sell yoyo's, animation toys and candy but Darren had other plans he wanted to sell food

“Baby I made hotdogs, sandwiches and ordure’s for Darren this morning to sell don't forget Ty's junk food in on the counter in the Kitchen” Tina said kissing my cheek before she rushed to work. I bathed and put on My sweat pants since it was really windy, pink Nike shirt my black Jordan’s and tied my hair in a curly bun.

“Pops we are gonna be late and my teacher said we should be at school at 8:00 sharp now it’s 07:55 we are late.” Ty said worried.

“Okay my boy I'm almost done! where is Susan?” I asked.

“putting things in the car” he replied.

“and your brother?”

“Still in his room”

Ty was the prompt one, he always wanted to be on time and do thing accordingly, he didn’t take nonsense from anyone.

“Darren!!! get you' ass down here boy, your brother is ready and we are late!” I yelled from downstairs.

“I'll be down in a sec, pops” Darren answered. He is probably at the mirror.

Parents and their children were excitedly offloading their goods and products. I didn't know where to go till I was led by the boys to the tables set for them. “Sweetie I'll sell For Darren and you go help Ty okay?” Selena relieving me of the stress I had thinking about how I’m going to jump from one table to another. “okay” I said moving slightly to Ty's table. We set up and started selling.

“Hi” a blue-eyed lady who looked like she was 5'3 walked up to me or Ty’s table rather.

“Sup' shawty” I said not paying attention to her

“I'm Kimberly and you are?” I heard her say which made me look up. She looked beautiful.

“Jay. I'm Jay” I said quickly.

“I'm here with my daughter, we set up at that table right across you, are you here with your son? and you?”

“My sons" I replied

“Nice, mind if we take a walk?” she asked, she her request was friendly so I thought why not.

“I don’t mind, Selena I'll be back in a min…” I said to Tina's Mom

She was so busy I doubt she heard what I said or seen the girl I was with but it wouldn’t hurt to have an innocent chat to a friendly lady.

“You look good Nigga” She said checking me out

“Oh please, I look crusty. You don’t look too bad yourself mama” I replied and she laughed.

We walked to the ice cream stall and got us ice-cream. She told me about herself and her daughter which she adores so much... She seems like a great person I guess but I won’t lie she is very good good looking.

We sat down at a nearby bench and she was about to kiss me when I tilted my head and was Ty looking for me. I thought about my family and how much I love them, I honestly couldn’t throw that away.

“Uhmhm I'm sorry… I should go” I said standing up

“No. Stay” She pleaded

“I'm getting married and I'm not about to cheat on the love of my life.” I said walking away. I rushed to Ty and he was doing just fine getting help from Catherine here and there.

We were packing up and the day was a success I saw Kim approaching me and she slipped a paper in my pocket and walked away winking at me.

I didn't bother looking at the paper just ignored her and started packing the things in the car.
