"SAPPHIRE, WAKE UP!!!!! WE GOT TROUBLE!!!" Damien screamed at me. I sat up but knocked my head on the closed coffin lid. Damn it. I thought to myself. I threw open the lid, and the scene before me was a beautiful mess. Damien had the pureblood on the ground, and he was just wailing on his face. If he was human, he would have passed out, but as a pureblood vampire, that wasn't gonna happen. I pulled Damien off so I could get a look at him. His nose was broken, and he had blood all over his face. He looked downright pitiful. "Hello, Sapphire, didn't know you had a bodyguard." he said to me while sitting up and fixing his nose with an audible crack. "What do you want?" I asked him "The lord of the vampires would like a word with you." "What would Vincent want with me? Plus, I don't think I would like to see him. It had better be important." I told him. "I'm just the messenger." he said back. "Ugh... Fine, where is he?" "He is in the forbidden forest. I would advise you to wait until he gets back." he said, standing up, but Damien wasn't letting him go anywhere. "Why come get me if he isn't there right now?" "It took me a while to find you ok. Stupid bit*h." He said menacingly. Before Damien could react, I had him in the air by his throat he didn't even see me coming. His eyes held a hint of fear. "Listen to me. I'm going to the forest and I know he can hear me because of the connection he has with you. If he is not there, he will not get to see me, and I don't care what he wants." I told him tightening my grip on his throat with every word I said and my eyes starting to glow violet. "Are you afraid, Pureblood?" "I will not allow you to kill me, Moon Vampire." He said to me through raged breaths. "HaHaHa you're a funny pureblood." I told him. That was the last sentence he heard. I dropped him to the floor with a thud. He looked up at me, and I already had my moon scythe out, and in my hands, I brought it down on his neck. His head rolled away, and I bent down and had my breakfast. "Why do you suck the purebloods blood?" Damien asked me. "Well, to put it simply, I don't like to waste food. Also, purebloods blood tastes pretty good." I told him mater of factly. "OH OK, well, do you think there is dragon food around here anywhere? No offense, but I can't survive on blood." He said to me. "They might have some here. Call room service and ask." "OK, I will." he said to me. While he called for food, I cleaned up my mess and went to the bathroom to get cleaned up. It was nice to have a shower and wash my hair. Get rid of all the blood and dirt I had on my body. I wrapped a towel around my body and looked in the mirror. My silver skin was sparkling under the fluorescent lights. My dark hair was shiny from the water, and my black eyes had a violet glow to them. I was tired of all the bull shi*t. Might as well see if Damien wants to go after he gets cleaned up. I slipped on some underwear, black leggings, and a simple black tank top. I walk out and see Damien finish eating his steak and eggs. "That was pretty good for vampires cooking it." he said, looking at me. The moment his eyes landed on me, they darkened, and he looked me up and down. "Do you want to get cleaned up now?" I asked him, pointing to the bathroom. He cleared his throat, nodded his head, and went to the bathroom. I walked out to the balcony and looked over into the forest and the rising moon. How did it all come to this, Vincent was supposed to be my betrothed, but I couldn't be with someone like him who has such an evil core. Who doesn't care about who is in trouble or if they die by a werewolf or even treaties just to get what he wants. I know he had something to do with my brother's death, but I'm not sure what. At that moment, I heard footsteps behind me and turned to see Damien. He was so handsome and smelled so good that I had to look away from him to keep from attacking him. "So are we going to the forest to see this lord of the vampires?" he asked, leaning up against the railing and looking at me sideways. Damn was he sexy and I swear thise eye's could see into my soul. "Hey earth to Sapph, we going or what?" he asked, waving a hand in front of my face. "OH, sorry, yeah, we're going. I can't keep Vincent waiting." I said, walking towards the door. He followed behind me. "Lead the way, your highness." He said while opening the door outside and bowing a little. I giggled, "Thank you, Sir Dragon Knight." I said playfully. We ran to the forbidden forest. "Do you know what he wants, Sapph?" Damien asked me before we got to the entrance of the forest. "Probably to force me into a marriage, but I could be wrong he might want something else." I said matter of factly. "Marriage?" He said in a kind of jealous tone "Yeah, I backed out of our agreement because he was awful, and I didn't love him. I couldn't do it." I said to him "OH OK, I understand." I smelled him before we stepped foot inside the forest. He came from the shadows, fangs out ready to attack. When he did, I snatched him out of the air before he could bite Damien. I threw him to the ground heavily. His head bounced off the forest floor. Damien was on top of him before I could do anything. "Why did you attack us?" he said while punching him in the face over and over again. "Damien, DAMIEN GIVE THE BASTAR*D TIME TO ANSWER DAMN!" I yelled at him. "OH yeah, right, Why did you attack us?" he asked this time without punching him in the face. "The Lord told me too." The pureblood said to Damien "Well, in that case." I said and pulled him out from under Damien and into the air. The pureblood gave a gasp of surprise, and I saw terror in his eyes. He struggled with me, so I dropped him to the ground. He was so stunned he didn't move. He was on his hands and knees staring up at me before he could blink. I had my moon scythe in my hands. He knew he didn't stand a chance and my scythe wrapped around his neck. His headless body spurting blood everywhere. I grabbed the body and drank the rest of the blood. "You scare me sometimes, especially with that scythe of yours." Damien said to me. "Whatever; at least I'm not using it on you." I said back to him with a smirk. "Yeah, very true." We continued down the forest path, preparing ourselves to talk to Vincent. Witches Cauldron
