GOOD GUY BAD GUY

What a busy day. The traffic jams, people passing by, and the honking of horns are really annoying. Of course, they all went to work. And I'm sitting here, not just sitting. I sat at the bus stop, waiting for the bus I had to take, and of course I also went to work. I hope that one day there will be a rich prince who is willing to take me with him. No! Not her maid, but the empress. It's an impossible dream, but I like to hope for the impossible. "I told you the edits had to be finished today." Huhhh, that's what I do every time I step into this prison, I mean this office. My dream job didn't turn out the way I dreamed. "Good morning." I greeted everyone in the room. And, I always dreamed of having a boss who was handsome, tall, and had good posture like a prince. But all I get is a monster here, he screams all day. There's not a day without him screaming, I think he would be suitable if he joined as a rock singer. No, his voice is not that good. I'm standing here because he's scolding our team right now. I work at a publishing company in Quebec City. I work in the editing section as a team leader. My dream is to work as a novel editor because I really like reading, but now I want to pursue a higher position. Sometimes, I dream of being in that monster's position. Maybe I wouldn't shout at him every day, maybe just give him a hard and stacked job. "Carolyn.." Yes, my name is Carolyn. I faced the person who called my name. “Finish the edits for this novel today,” he said. I was shocked to hear that because seriously, I already had work to do, and now he wanted me to do something else. I don't want to fight with stupid people and make myself look stupid. But this is not fair, I keep cursing him in my heart. "Okay sir". In the end that’s what will always come out of my mouth. The clock showed 8 pm, and people must have gone home. I'm still busy here in front of the computer accompanied by the sound of the keyboard. I'm trying to get this done and send the files before 12 o'clock, or the monster will start his rap tomorrow. I'm done with all my work editing, sending emails, and writing my resignation letter. I walked on the street, which was still busy with people and vehicles. It feels like the air tonight is really cool, calming, and the moon is shining so beautifully accompanied by the twinkling stars. The sky is so beautiful. There are things I always miss every time I look at the sky, namely home, family, and my siblings. They live in another part of town and I live alone here. Yeah, this is what working life is like, coming home only to sleep and working again so I can live. It's boring, but I keep going. I intend to look for another job, but I have worked for this company for approximately 5 years, I hope to get a promotion, but maybe that is just a wish that can not be obtained.
