"Christian, get up! Kevin's had a bad dream and is scared of me! Grey!" Jay shakes me awake.
"Shit." I get up and hurry to his room where he is sitting on the bed and crying and Carol and Ana are looking at him helplessly.
"Come here, darling. What's wrong?"
"I think he had a bad dream, daddy," Ana says when Kevin just keeps on crying. I bounce him in my arms, trying to calm him down. I look around, hoping Jay would have followed me but he isn't here.
"Shhh.. Enough of crying now. Do you want to tell me about your dream?" I sit down with him on my lap.
"Carol, go get me a sippy cup of cold water, please." I help Carol off the bed and she runs downstairs.
