By the time the Empress was brought into Lily's room, she was unconscious again and shivering in her sleep. Lily had lit a fire in her room. She immediately began working on divesting the Empress of her clothes after instructing a guard to bring in a maid within the palace to help her.
They sent her a meek girl who looked to be about 16. They both made quick work of heating up herbs and mixing medicinal powders into a warm broth for the Empress to consume.
"Princess Lily?" the girl who Lily had managed to learn was named Cora spoke up.
Lily looked up from her vigil by the Empress's bedside.
"We...we servants down below wanted to make sure you were O.K.? If you need anything? You're a wonderful person and we're all happy that you will be marrying Crown Prince Alexei."
