Lily sat next to empress Sophia who was fully awake and listening to Lily relay the events leading up to Empress Sophia being brought into Lily's room.
"So you did all that, for me?" Empress Sophia asked roughly. "You co-operated with him kissing you just so you could make sure I was brought to your room?"
"it was the only way," Lily said defensively. "he wasn't even agreeing to let you come here at first. I really had to push him and I was afraid he'd disagree with me." Lily shrugged her shoulder as she bent her head in embarrassment. "But then James came in and he...he thought I'd betrayed him."
