This story explores power, loyalty, and the dangerous line between control and desire. In a world ruled by silence and blood, every choice has a price—and not everyone survives it. Enter Luca Moretti’s world with caution, because once you do, there is no turning back.In a city where power is bought with blood and silence is survival, Luca Moretti rules from the shadows. He is not loud, not reckless—just inevitable. Betrayal is met with certainty, enemies with calm destruction, and loyalty with a dangerous kind of protection. But when a rival resurfaces and a desperate man offers his daughter as collateral, Luca makes a choice that threatens to blur the line he built his empire on. In a world where love is weakness and mercy is fatal, one woman may become either his greatest mistake—or his undoing.

The Devil Owns The City
No one screamed. That was the first rule in Luca Moretti’s world. Begging was allowed, screaming was not. The man on his knees in front of him learned that too late. Blood stained the blue marble floor of the Moretti penthouse slowly and deliberately. The city glittered, became more alive and dangerous. Luca Moretti was essentially the man running the city behind the scenes. Luca stood motionless and with zero emotions, hands tucked into the pockets of his tailored blue suit, his expression and feelings unreadable. He didn't look at the man; to him, he didn't need to. The man's fate had been decided the moment betrayal had crossed the man's mind. “Clean it up" Luca said calmly. His voice wasn't loud, but it sounded so dangerous. Marco, Luca's right-handed man, snapped his finger, and two men moved instantly, dragging the lifeless body as if it were nothing. The feeling was not too odd to them, because they felt like they were taking out the trash. No hesitation or resistance was made. Even without Marco saying a single word, they knew exactly what to do. They were properly trained. Marco turned to Luca, "he was skimming from the ports, feeding information to Volkov.” This made Luca so pissed that he puffed out lots of smoke from his tobacco. One of the things people feared about him was his looks and personality… You know what they say about looks, it can be deceiving. Looking so dangerously cute and dashing, but it's always hard to know when he is in a good mood or not, he hardly smiled at all. These attributes made him so dangerous, because it was hard for rivals or enemies to predict his next move. " Did he think I wouldn't notice?” Luca asked softly. Marco swallowed and answered, " They always do boss.” He stepped forward to the balcony, taking a look at the city's beauty. Half of the city belonged to Luca Moretti. The ports, arms trade, and selling of contraband, the underground casinos. The politicians who smiled freely for the cameras, TV stations, and public shows, but answered him privately. Judges, police chiefs, and councilmen were not exempted either. Men who preached the law day by day and broke it by night under Luca's authority. He didn't rule through fear and noise alone. He ruled through certainty. " Volkov is getting bolder, and also trying to get on your nerves boss,” Marco said carefully. " He's testing boundaries, forgetting that he was your DOG before”. Luca gave a little sigh and said “Once a DOG, will forever be a DOG”. Having said this, he turned his face towards the glass window and said, “he's forgotten who made the Boundaries in the first place.” " He wants to bite the hand that fed him," he said with a curnny voice. Suddenly, a beautiful figure, entered the room. Tall, elegant. She carried a tablet in her hand, pressing it and also trying to watch her steps. She didn't look at the blood which Luca boys were handling. " Cousin” Luca greeted, turning to face her properly. Elena smiled “Don." Only she calls him that without permission. Seeing that Elena had some information for the boss, Marco stepped aside a little. Elena approached Luca and handed him the tablet. “Volkov is making plans in the east. According to my intel, he's trying to disrupt shipments and scare supplies. “One can never be faster than his shadow," Luca said, feeling impressed by Elena's effort. " Yes,” Elena agreed. Glancing at Marco and Luca “Volkov is no longer interested in territory again." Luca scoffed and said “he should try." What's next, he asked. “Antonio Romano" Elena said gently. Luca gave her a what about him look…. " A businessman,” Marxo answered. " Used to be clean and successful, went bankrupt, took loans, so he couldn't repay.” " From us” Elan added. " He's going down with his debts, piling lots of them, and he's desperate. So he approached Volkov first." Luca felt anger burning inside him “That was a mistake." “YES," Elena added. " But Antonio is requesting protection from you.” Luca looked more interested, "I'm not guaranteeing him any form of protection; he should focus on paying my money and……..” Elena replied sharply, " He's offering collateral…….his daughter.” Luca paced gently in the room, and Marco and Elena looked at his unpredictable face, thinking of what his next response might be. He suddenly stopped and asked, “Her name?" " Aria Romano” Elen answered. " She's irrelevant “ Marco said. Elena went further to say, "The second thing Volkov is planning is to get to her." “NO" Luca said with a devastating voice, showing how pissed he was, he didn't know why, and he didn't care. But “taking her will invite attention, Volkov will look for a way and retaliate," Elena warned. Aria Romano……” She changes nothing if I take her." Elena sighed and said “You're crossing the line.” " I BUILT THE LINE” Luca said with anger in his tone. Women like her won't survive this world boss…..With you." Marco added Luca didn't say a word, looking so cold and unpredictable. “She will" Luca said. “Bring her to me," he ordered Marco. Marco, feeling reluctant, “BOSS…….” “I said bring her to me." Luca Said. TO BE CONTINUED
