CHAPTER 10 EYES ON Luke looked down at his watch, noting the time. Not long until sundown. He and his little group had been making their way through the woods abutting the rear of the now-destroyed farmer’s market. A little faster than I really like, he thought ruefully. It was from there that he, the teenage girl Annie and the mystery woman had managed to escape, and just in the nick of time from what he could determine. Luke had to get everyone through this part of the forest and positioned near the county road so they could cross it once full darkness arrived.
